On the morning of August 10, Ukrainian drones attacked Tatarstan. Thirteen people were killed in the city of Nizhnekamsk, Meduza reported, citing Tatarstan head Rustam Minnikhanov.

According to the publication, 75 people sought medical attention, 21 of whom were hospitalized. Among the injured were citizens of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Kazan confirmed that seven of the victims were Uzbek citizens.

Authorities reported that both industrial and civilian facilities were attacked, but no further details were provided. Tatarstan declared a day of mourning for the victims. Russia has opened a criminal investigation into the terrorist attack.

Nizhnekamsk Mayor Radmir Belyaev stated that a child was among the dead. According to him, the drones struck not only industrial facilities but also residential areas. The attack resulted in a fire at the Nizhnekamsk Oil Refinery. The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that drones struck the Taneco oil refinery. No further details were provided.

The Russian Ministry of Defense, for its part, stated that 456 Ukrainian drones were destroyed overnight over 16 regions, including Tatarstan and Crimea. Over 70 drones were shot down overnight over the Rostov Region, and 16 over the Kaluga Region. No injuries or damage were reported.
