The issue of resuming direct flights between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan was discussed
A meeting was held with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan, Shadurdi Meredov, with the participation of representatives of the transport and logistics sector of Uzbekistan.

The issue of resuming direct flights between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan was at the center of the discussion.
During the negotiations, a number of important issues were exchanged, including the electronic issuance of visas for drivers and the optimization of payments, improving the processes at the Farap-Olat border crossing, as well as reducing queues and waiting times.
In addition, special attention was paid to the creation of a special corridor for perishable goods, the construction of a second bridge in the neutral zone, the acceleration of cargo transportation by road and rail through the port of Turkmenbashi, the revision of weight and size restrictions, and the restoration of direct flights between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
The Turkmen side expressed its readiness to consider the proposals made and convey them to the relevant state bodies.
