On October 3 and 4, the international ultramarathon Aral Ultra will take place in Karakalpakstan. The race distances will be 100, 50, 25, and 15 km. The route runs through the Ustyurt Plateau to the shores of the Aral Sea.

The Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan has announced the opening of registration for the Aral Ultra international ultramarathon. The race is scheduled to start on October 3–4 in Karakalpakstan.
The route will run across the Ustyurt Plateau and end at the shoreline of the Western Aral Sea. The finish line is planned to be moved annually to highlight the changes in the region's ecosystem.
The Aral Ultra program will also include events in Nukus: children's races, plogging (litter-collecting while jogging), and a running tour of the city.
The race will be held in a trail running format — running on natural routes with no paved roads.

The 100 km and 50 km distances are designed for prepared participants and require proof of qualification.

No qualification is required to participate in the 25 km and 15 km races, but an age limit of 18 years has been established.
Registration for the 2 km and Kids Run will open later.
"Through Aral Ultra, we want to show the world a new image of the region — as a place of power with unique nature, culture, and a special atmosphere that cannot be experienced anywhere else," said Mirkhan Sagitov, Head of the Marathon Implementation Department and curator of the series.
Aral Ultra will join the Samarkand Marathon series, which includes the marathon of the same name, the Bukhara Night Race, Sky Camp Bo’stonliq, and Zaamin Ultra.
The organizers plan to direct the collected funds to the construction of children's sports playgrounds in the cities hosting the races.
