Head of "Water Delivery Service" state institution detained during operational event

The head of the "Water Delivery Service" state institution was detained in Qibray district.

An operational event was conducted in cooperation with officers from the Qibray District Department under the Prosecutor General's Office and other law enforcement agencies. During the event, the head of the "Water Delivery Service" state institution, U.Yu., stated to citizen J.B. that although the latter's house in the "G'oliblar" makhalla was built with the permits of relevant organizations, U.Yu. would send the case to court for action, claiming the house was built too close to a canal passing by it.

He then stated that if he were given 16,000 US dollars, he would testify in court that all deficiencies had been rectified and drop the lawsuit. He was caught with material evidence while receiving 5,000 US dollars of this amount in his office.

Regarding this situation, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 210 of the Criminal Code (bribe-taking), and investigative actions are underway.
