Deputy Head of Shahrixon District Emergency Situations Department detained in swift operation

An official of the emergency situations department is suspected of taking a bribe. He was caught while receiving 1.5 million soums with the promise of not conducting an inspection at a catering outlet and resolving the issue in the event that inspectors arrived.

In Andijan region, an official of the Emergency Situations Department has been detained on suspicion of taking a bribe.

Reportedly, a swift operation was conducted in cooperation with the Andijan regional department of the Department [for Combating Economic Crimes] and other law enforcement agencies. During the operation, B.G., the Deputy Head of the Shahrixon District Emergency Situations Department, was caught while receiving 1.5 million soums from the manager of one of the LLCs in the area.

In exchange for this money, the official promised not to conduct future inspections at a catering outlet and to resolve matters in its favor in the event that inspectors arrived.

A criminal case has been initiated regarding the situation under Article 210 of the Criminal Code (bribery). Investigative actions are currently underway.
