Chamber of Commerce and Industry official caught while returning a bribe

In Surxondaryo region, the head of a district branch of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been detained.

An operational event was conducted in cooperation with the Qiziriq district department of the Department under the General Prosecutor's Office and other law enforcement agencies.

During the event, M.Ch., the head of the Qiziriq district branch of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, promised citizen O.B. to secure 2 hectares of land through an auction for establishing a peasant farm. He was caught with physical evidence while returning 5 million soums, which he had obtained through fraud, to O.B.

Regarding this situation, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 168 of the Criminal Code (fraud), and investigative actions are underway.

Earlier, the Prosecutor's Department reported that employees of the Ecology and Cadastre Chambers were detained during an operational event.
