The cost of travel on Uzbekistan's first toll road has been announced.
The Urgench-Khiva route will cost 25,000 soums for passenger cars, and 20,000 soums for the 28-kilometer short section. The system is currently in test mode and will be fully operational on August 25.

The toll fees for Uzbekistan's first toll highway are listed below.
The road can handle over 30,000 vehicles daily. Payment is made electronically, without requiring vehicles to stop.
An artificial intelligence-based system regulates traffic flow and payments, allowing users to top up their e-wallets for automatic payment.
The speed limit on the highway ranges from 40 to 130 km/h. Stopping, U-turns, and the movement of pedestrians, mopeds, horse-drawn vehicles, and vehicles with trailers are prohibited.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev toured the new Urgench-Khiva toll road on August 18 during his visit to the Khorezm region.
