This concludes President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit to the Khorezm region, and the head of our state leaves for Tashkent.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the Urgench-Khiva toll road
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the new Urgench-Khiva toll road after an open dialogue with entrepreneurs in the city of Khiva.
In our country, special attention is paid to the development of modern road infrastructure, increasing the speed and safety of traffic. The new edition of the Law "On Motorways", adopted on August 5 of this year, established the legal basis for the organization of toll roads. The main condition for this is the availability of an alternative free road for drivers.
The new highway between Urgench Airport and the city of Khiva is aimed at creating safe, fast and convenient movement for residents and tourists.
The project includes the construction of 35 kilometers of highway, 1 underground tunnel, 8 overpasses, 15 bridges and 106 water supply structures.
While it takes 45-50 minutes to get from Urgench to Khiva on the existing road, this time will be reduced to 15-17 minutes on the new four-lane highway. The road has a capacity of more than 30 thousand vehicles per day.
Traffic flow and payment management will be carried out using digital systems based on artificial intelligence. Payments from cars, trucks and buses will be collected electronically without stopping the vehicle.
It is also planned to organize service and service facilities in accordance with international standards along the road.
A special modified bitumen mixture resistant to hot climates was used in the upper layers of the road surface. The total thickness of the coating is 87 centimeters.
The new highway will further accelerate and facilitate travel between Urgench and Khiva, expand transport opportunities for tourists, and develop the road infrastructure of the region.
With this, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit to the Khorezm region ended, and the head of our state left for Tashkent.
