Payment for one-month military service has increased in Uzbekistan

In Uzbekistan, the payment fee for the mobilization call reserve, i.e., one-month military service, has increased by 7 percent. This was caused by the increase in the minimum wage.

From September 1, 2026, the minimum wage in the republic was increased by 7 percent, from 1 million 271 thousand soums to 1 million 360 thousand soums. The payment for one-month military service is set at 7 times this value. Accordingly, the payment, which was 8 million 897 thousand soums from August 2025 to August 2026, rose to 9 million 520 thousand soums from September.

By the decree of the President of Uzbekistan dated February 2, 2018, the payment amount for the mobilization call reserve was reduced from 27.5 times the minimum monthly wage, i.e., 4 million 736 thousand 600 soums, to 20 times, i.e., 3 million 444 thousand 800 soums. From September 1, 2019, the mechanism of calculating the minimum wage was introduced in the country instead of the minimum monthly wage. As this value increased, the mobilization call reserve fees changed as follows:

2019 — 4 million 40 thousand soums;

2020 — 4 million 755 thousand soums;

2021 — 5 million 754 thousand soums;

2022 — 6 million 440 thousand soums;

2023 — 6 million 860 thousand soums;

2024 — 8 million 85 thousand soums.

Monetary contributions from those admitted to the mobilization call reserve are collected either in a lump sum or through installment payments over the course of one year. These funds are accumulated in the special account of the Ministry of Defense "Funds of the Mobilization Call Reserve". The money is directed towards paying allowances to conscripted military personnel, strengthening the material and technical base of the ministry, and supporting the personnel of the mobilization call reserve.

Citizens are admitted to service in the mobilization call reserve until they reach the age of 27. During their service period, they may be involved in monthly military training, and in the event of emergencies or armed aggression against Uzbekistan, they may be called up for active military service.
