Tashkent's Traffic Management Center has launched a survey of parents regarding the need for school buses

Tashkent's Traffic Management Center has begun studying how students travel to educational institutions, as well as assessing the population's demand for school buses.

Parents in the capital have been invited to take a survey via a dedicated Telegram bot.

The questionnaire requires indicating the home location, school number and grade, departure time for school, the mode of transport used, and whether there is a need for a school bus. The survey must be filled out separately for each child.

The topic of launching school buses in the capital is raised regularly. At a session of the Tashkent City Kengash of People's Deputies on August 12, 2025, one of the participants directly asked why the project has not yet been implemented and what difficulties the authorities are facing. Elmurod Alimov, Deputy Head of the Road Safety Department of the Main Department of Internal Affairs, noted that the implementation of the project is complicated by the fact that children travel to schools in the capital from different districts of the city and regions.

According to Rustam Kalonov, Chairman of the Tashkent City Kengash, the level of education is lower in some regions, which is why many parents prefer to send their children to prestigious educational institutions in the capital. As a result, gathering students from a single area for a route would be extremely difficult. Nevertheless, Alimov assured that the issue will be thoroughly studied.
