The need for school buses is being studied in Tashkent
The Tashkent Center for Traffic Management (CODD) is conducting a study on the need for school buses. Parents are being asked to fill out a questionnaire to get a picture of how children travel to school. Last summer, the Service for Road Safety (SBDD) stated that such a project is complex, as parents often choose schools based on the quality of education rather than their place of residence.
Tashkent is studying whether school buses are needed
A study is being conducted in Tashkent to determine how schoolchildren get to school and whether there is a need for school buses.
The questionnaire requires indicating the location of the home, the school and grade in which the child studies, the time of departure for school, the mode of transport used, and whether there is a need for a school bus. A separate questionnaire must be filled out for each child.
The issue of launching school buses is raised regularly.
In 2024, a free bus service for schoolchildren in remote areas of the Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions was launched as an experiment.
