Tashkent Street appeared in Belgrade

In the capital of Serbia, Belgrade, a street named after Tashkent was opened. The site was opened by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić as part of the official visit of the head of our state.

The street received its new name as a sign of respect for the capital of Uzbekistan — one of the oldest cities in Central Asia, which harmoniously combines a rich historical and cultural heritage with modern infrastructure.

In Serbia, it was noted that the appearance of Tashkent Street became a bright symbol of strengthening friendship, trust, and mutual respect between the two states, their peoples, and capitals.

Earlier, the President of Serbia presented Mirziyoyev with the country's highest state order.
