President Shavkat Mirziyoyev became acquainted with the activities of the "LB Sport" enterprise in the Baliqchi district.
"In our country, special attention is paid to the development of the sports industry, the wide involvement of the private sector in the field, and the increase of local production. In this regard, the production of import-substituting, high-quality sports equipment that meets international standards is of great importance.
'LB Sport' is one of the leading local enterprises producing sports equipment. The enterprise cooperates with more than 20 sports federations," the presidential press service report says.
This project was implemented on the basis of the head of state's resolution dated March 24 of this year on expanding the involvement of business entities in the sports sector.
The total value of the project is 25 billion soums, and it was fully funded by the entrepreneur's own funds. The enterprise produces 65 types of products for 18 sports. Annually, 500,000 pieces of sports equipment with a total value of 75 billion soums are manufactured.
The products can compete with foreign alternatives in terms of quality, while their price is relatively cheaper. They are exported to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and other CIS countries. The annual export volume is 3 million dollars.
Special attention is also paid to ensuring population employment in the enterprise's activities. Cooperation on a home-based work basis has been established with 800 low-income families in the Baliqchi district.
90 percent of the home-based workers are women, and 65 percent are young people under the age of 30. This system allows the population to work in their own homes and earn a stable income.
Integration of education and production has been established at the enterprise. 100 students from technical schools No. 1 and No. 2 in the district are being trained on the basis of dual education. They reinforce their theoretical knowledge directly in the production process.
