Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Andijan-Huanya International Technical School
On September 23, Shavkat Mirziyoyev familiarized himself with the activities of the technical school located in the "Silk Road" industrial zone in the Andijan district.
As noted in the report of the President's press service, along with launching new industrial enterprises in the country, priority is also given to training qualified specialists for them. In this regard, closely linking the educational process with production plays an important role. The Andijan-Huanya International Technical School was established precisely for this purpose.
The total value of the project is 15 million dollars, and it was fully implemented through foreign investments. An educational building designed for 5,000 students has been completed on an area of four hectares. In the next stage, a dormitory, a laboratory building, a sports ground, a canteen, and a green area will be built.
A dual education system has been introduced in the institution. Students receive theoretical knowledge at the technical school and undergo practical training at large enterprises in the industrial zone. In this way, they get closely acquainted with the production process, modern equipment, and technologies during their studies.
Currently, 210 students are studying here. By 2030, it is planned to increase the annual intake to 1,800 and the total number of students to 4,000. Additionally, the number of educational directions will be increased to 20.
The President familiarized himself with the conditions created at the technical school and spoke with the youth and the investor.
The head of state will be in the Andijan region for two days. He began his visit by first familiarizing himself with the construction work being carried out at the Andijan International Airport. Then, he visited the Eco Cotton enterprise in the Andijan district, which uses artificial intelligence and humanoid robots. He also familiarized himself with the project being implemented for the production of equipment necessary for small hydroelectric power stations.
