Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the technical school of advanced professional skills in Urgench

Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Urgench College of Advanced Professional Skills and the Professions City, where he learned about their activities. This educational institution specializes in training mid-level specialists who meet international standards.

72.4 billion soums from the state budget were allocated for the construction of the complex. Two academic buildings designed for 1,100 students, a 300-bed dormitory, a cafeteria, a gym, and two training workshops were constructed on a 5.2-hectare site.

The educational process is based on programs developed in Germany, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, China, and South Korea. A dual education system is used, combining theoretical knowledge with practical experience in the workplace.

For the 2026-2027 academic year, 200 students in 11 specialties have been enrolled based on a competitive selection process. The curricula are designed to meet employer requirements, facilitating the subsequent employment of graduates.

The technical school will serve as a resource center for the Khorezm region, providing internship opportunities to approximately 4,300 students from other vocational schools in the region. Similar centers are planned for Karakalpakstan and other regions of the country.

The technical school also houses a Professions Town, designed for early career guidance for young people. Here, students learn using the "Do It Yourself" principle, mastering equipment in five key areas:

* Transport and Logistics

* Industry and Construction

* Services

* Agriculture

* Green Energy

The head of state emphasized the importance of continually adapting curricula to current labor market needs and disseminating this experience throughout the country.
