President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the "Uzbekfilm" film studio to inspect the set of the historical feature film "Husayn", dedicated to the childhood years of the great scholar Abu Ali ibn Sina. The film is being created by order of the Center for the Development of Children's Content.
For the filming, large-scale sets reflecting the daily life and atmosphere of the historical era were constructed on the studio grounds. The head of state toured the built fortress walls, ancient streets, and market squares, and also examined the historical costumes and props used in the filming process. The film's storyline depicts the formative years of young Husayn ibn Abdallah, his interest in medicine, humanism, pursuit of science, and devotion to his mentors.
In a conversation with the creative team, Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that the state will continue to step up support for national-themed film projects that tell the stories of great ancestors. Singling out the quality of the constructed sets, the President stressed the importance of authentically recreating history on screen so that the younger generation can connect with the region's scientific and cultural heritage.
The filming of "Husayn" is taking place within the framework of a roadmap for the in-depth study and popularization of the thinker's scientific heritage, set through 2030. The same program document includes measures in preparation for the celebration of the 1050th anniversary of Abu Ali ibn Sina's birth.
