Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent a congratulatory message to the participants of the 10th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
The conference began its work on September 4 in the city of Samarkand. The congratulatory message of the head of state to the conference participants was read out by the Chairperson of the Senate, Tanzila Norboyeva.
"I am extremely pleased to sincerely welcome and send my best wishes to you — young parliamentarians, who are boldly entering the political arena today with your own word and strong voice, on the occasion of this prestigious event. Welcome to the ancient and eternally young city of Samarkand, which for thousands of years has been a bridge uniting civilizations, peoples, and ideas!
We accept the holding of this high-level forum in our country for the first time as a high assessment given by the international community to the irreversible democratic reforms being implemented in New Uzbekistan," the message reads.
The head of state expressed confidence that today's dialogue, like the 150th anniversary Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union organized in Tashkent last year, will become a forum where lively exchanges of views, new ideas, and advanced initiatives are put forward.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev welcomed the adoption of the Samarkand Resolution on Youth and Future Generations within the framework of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, aimed at further expanding the participation of youth in state and public administration. He expressed Uzbekistan's readiness to provide a special platform for sharing advanced experience in realizing the potential of youth.
He invited the conference participants to the "Dialogue of Generations" international youth congress to be held in Uzbekistan in 2027.
He expressed confidence that the dialogue and discussions within the framework of the conference in Samarkand will be held in an open, constructive spirit, and that the approved documents will serve to strengthen global peace.
