Samarkand hosts the 12th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians
Representatives of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and parliamentary delegations have arrived in Samarkand to participate in the global conference of young parliamentarians.

Samarkand hosts the XII Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians
Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Martin Chungong and Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska Edin Đerlek have arrived in Samarkand. They were welcomed at the city's airport by members of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.
Currently, representatives of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and parliamentary delegations from Great Britain, China, Russia, Canada, Turkey, Germany, Ireland, Algeria, Zimbabwe, Côte d'Ivoire, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Seychelles, Uruguay, Uganda, Namibia, Switzerland, North Macedonia, Iran, Bahrain, Nigeria, Mauritania, South Africa, and Cambodia have also arrived in Uzbekistan.
These visits are connected with the holding of the XII Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Samarkand. The event will take place on September 4–6 at the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan and will be organized by the Senate of the Oliy Majlis jointly with the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
About 300 representatives from 183 countries are expected to participate in the conference. In addition, representatives of 15 international organizations and about 50 permanent observers will be involved in the event.
Hosting the conference in Samarkand will provide a platform for young parliamentarians from different countries to participate in international inter-parliamentary dialogue.
