Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev presented US President Donald Trump with a gift of traditional Uzbek ivans, according to The New York Times.
These wooden structures, renowned for their decorative carvings, are slated for installation in Washington, D.C.'s West Potomac Park. The Trump administration plans to establish a "National Garden of American Heroes" there.
According to the publication, trucks carrying large crates from Tashkent arrived at the park in recent days. The US Department of the Interior confirmed the receipt of the gift, which Trump accepted on behalf of the American people.
The Uzbek ivans are expected to be on display to the public this fall.
The "National Garden of American Heroes" project is currently in the development stages. Plans call for the park to house approximately 250 life-size statues of prominent Americans, as well as swimming pools, restaurants, and an amphitheater.
