Uzbekistan and the United States are entering a new stage of cooperation: results of talks between Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Donald Trump.

A telephone conversation was held between President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the United States Donald Trump. The main topic of the conversation was the further strengthening of Uzbek-American relations and prospects for deepening the strategic partnership.

At the beginning of the conversation, Shavkat Mirziyoyev again congratulated Donald Trump on the 250th anniversary of US independence. In response, the American leader noted the unprecedentedly high level of relations between the two countries, emphasizing the importance of a trusting dialogue between the heads of state.

The parties noted with satisfaction the consistent implementation of agreements reached at the highest level, as well as the high dynamics of bilateral contacts in virtually all areas of cooperation.

Particular attention was paid to economic cooperation. A three-year Economic Cooperation Program is currently being implemented, the first meeting of the US-Uzbekistan Business and Investment Council was held, and ties between the regions of Uzbekistan and the US states are expanding. The introduction of a visa-free regime for US citizens has provided additional impetus for the development of business contacts.

Joint projects in civil aviation, automotive manufacturing, mining, infrastructure, energy, metallurgy, artificial intelligence, and digital technologies continue to be implemented.

During their discussion of the international agenda, the leaders emphasized the importance of continuing joint efforts to ensure global security and the peaceful resolution of international and regional conflicts.

Plans for upcoming bilateral and multilateral events were also discussed. At the end of the telephone conversation, the President of Uzbekistan invited Donald Trump to pay an official visit to the country at his convenience.
