Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the Congress Hall complex in Bukhara
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev acquainted himself with the construction of the Congress Hall complex and modern hotels being built in the city of Bukhara.
In recent years, the number of foreign tourists visiting Uzbekistan has been steadily increasing. In 2025, this indicator increased nearly sixfold compared to 2016, while the export of tourism services grew elevenfold. At the same time, the need for modern infrastructure to host major international events in the country is also growing.
This complex will expand the city's capabilities to host such events. The Congress Hall is intended for holding forums, high-level meetings, and other major conferences.
As part of the project worth 60 million dollars, a building with an area of 14.5 thousand square meters is being constructed. Currently, the main concreting works have been completed, and the laying of external engineering networks, as well as the construction of the facade and roof sections, are ongoing.
A "Hilton Garden Inn" hotel worth 37 million dollars is also being built in the same area. This seven-story, 212-room hotel also features an underground parking lot. The main structures of the building have been completed, and interior walls, engineering networks, and facade work are currently underway.
Another project is the "Holiday Inn" hotel worth 39.6 million dollars. This building will also be seven stories high with 212 rooms, and a two-story business center is being built next to it. Roof assembly and interior wall construction are taking place at the hotel, while the final stage of concreting is being carried out in the basement of the business center.
The Head of State reviewed the work at the facilities and stressed their importance for hosting international events in Bukhara at a high level and expanding the scope of tourism services, which will serve to increase the income of the population and further develop the region's economy.
Instructions were given to complete the construction work within the specified deadlines, strictly complying with quality requirements.
