On October 15, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the President of Laos, Thongloun Sisoulith, in Baku.
At the meeting, issues of bringing Uzbekistan–Laos relations to a new stage were considered.
Increasing the volume of mutual trade, developing business ties, and promoting joint projects in transport, logistics, pharmaceuticals, medicine, tourism, and other areas were noted as priority directions.
The importance of expanding the legal framework for trade and economic cooperation, as well as intensifying exchanges in the fields of education and culture, was emphasized.
The leaders also exchanged views on pressing issues on the regional and international agendas.
