Shavkat Mirziyoyev initiated a new format of interaction for Central Asia and Azerbaijan
On October 8, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the eighth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan, held in the "Avaza" National Tourist Zone in Turkmenistan.
Within the framework of the summit, the leaders discussed topical regional and international issues, as well as prospects for further strengthening cooperation.
Mirziyoyev pointed to positive changes in Central Asia and emphasized the importance of further developing interaction based on mutual respect, trust, and pragmatism.
The President proposed to increase cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, transport, energy, ecology, digital technologies, and personnel training. In addition, he spoke in favor of forming joint industrial and technological chains between the countries.
Following the meeting, the heads of state adopted a Joint Statement and signed a number of multilateral documents.
