On October 5, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. During the conversation, the parties reviewed the further strengthening of relations of friendship, good-neighborliness, strategic partnership, and alliance.

It was noted that cooperation is developing positively. Trade volumes are increasing, and interaction is expanding in the fields of transport, energy, geology, agriculture, and water management.

In addition, the presidents emphasized the active nature of interregional and cultural-humanitarian exchanges, exchanged views on regional agenda issues, and discussed the schedule of upcoming bilateral and multilateral events.
