The Senate of Uzbekistan has approved amendments expanding the possibilities for the notarization of undisputed claims and the electronic execution of documents.

The Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan has approved a law that provides for the simplification of notary processing and execution of uncontested claims, as well as the reduction of a number of procedures in the judicial and executive spheres.
The document "On making additions and amendments to certain legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan" was reviewed at a regular plenary session of the Senate.
The amendments have been made to the Civil Procedure and Economic Procedure Codes, and the laws "On execution of judicial acts and acts of other bodies" and "On state duty." They provide for reducing the timeframes for issuing court orders on uncontested claims, expanding the use of information and communication technologies in notary activities, and optimizing fees for notary actions.
One of the key innovations will be the expansion of the possibility to apply to a notary for uncontested claims in an amount up to 1,000 BRV (base calculating value), subject to the criteria established by law. This will allow such claims to be processed and executed through a notary without going to court.
In addition, notaries are granted the opportunity to send writs of execution with a QR code directly to the execution authorities in electronic form. This procedure will make it possible to abandon a number of redundant procedures related to the submission of paper documents.
The changes also affect the procedure for suspending the execution of judicial acts that have entered into force when they are appealed to a higher court. The relevant provisions are clarified in the Economic Procedure Code.
Separately, the grounds for suspending the execution of judicial acts in the appellate, cassation, and revision instances are defined. The person requesting the suspension will have to justify that in the event of a refusal to apply this measure, the reversal may make the execution of the judicial act difficult or impossible.
According to the senators' assessment, the adopted changes are aimed at reducing the workload on courts, reducing the time and financial costs of citizens and entrepreneurs, accelerating the processing of uncontested claims, and increasing the efficiency of enforcement proceedings.
The law was approved by the senators.
