Samarkand will become a center of global dialogue on the future of children
On October 21–22, 2026, the World Summit on the theme "Investing in Children's Well-being: The Path to Sustainable and Equitable Development for Future Generations" will be held in the city of Samarkand.
This prestigious conference will bring together representatives from more than 100 countries around the world — political leaders, ministers, heads of international organizations, experts, representatives of business and civil society, academic circles, as well as children and adolescents in one arena.
Currently, children are among the groups experiencing the most severe consequences of global challenges — conflicts, climate change, economic instability, and growing inequality.
At the center of the discussions will be directions that determine the fate of the future generation:
The II International Congress of Pediatric Oncology will also be held within the framework of the summit.
As one of the main outcomes of the meeting, the Samarkand Declaration on Investing in Children's Well-being will be adopted — this will be a call for concrete actions and international cooperation.
Investing in children means investing in a sustainable, equitable, and peaceful future.
