The Uzbekistan rowing team continues to show high results at the Asian Games.

Academic rowers Shahzod Nurmatov and Sobirjon Safaraliyev participated in the lightweight men's double sculls (LM2x) competition at the Asian Games, crossing the finish line first and winning the gold medal.

For reference, this duo also won at this year's World Championships.

This became the ninth medal won by the rowers today: prior to this, 1 gold, 5 silver, and 2 bronze medals had been secured.

Thus, the delegation of Uzbekistan rose to 8th place in the overall standings with 3 gold, 9 silver, and 7 bronze medals.
