Another athlete from Uzbekistan has won a gold medal at the Asian Games. Vladimir Svechnikov, who participated in the 10-meter air pistol shooting event, outperformed all his opponents.

This was the first gold medal won in shooting sports at the Asian Games after a 32-year break. Another important aspect is that Svechnikov also broke the Asian Games record with 244.3 points.

The number of medals won by Uzbekistani athletes at the Asian Games has reached 20: 4 gold, 9 silver, and 7 bronze.

Currently, the Uzbekistan delegation occupies 7th place in the competition standings.
