The delegation of Uzbekistan won its third bronze medal at the XX Asian Games taking place in Japan.

This is the second medal in the wushu competitions. Saydullo Abdurashidov, who competed in the sanda discipline in the -56 kg weight category, lost to his Chinese opponent in the semifinals and won the bronze medal.

Earlier in the same sport, Darya Latysheva won her third medal at the Asian Games. Our compatriot, who participated in the exhibition performance program, was awarded the silver medal with 19.413 points.

Thus, the number of medals accumulated by Uzbek athletes has reached 8. Our representatives are in 14th place in the overall standings. As expected, the Chinese delegation holds the first place. They have a total of 77 medals — 47 gold, 20 silver, and 10 bronze.

The representatives of Japan and South Korea are in second and third places. They have collected 65 and 39 medals, respectively.

Athletes from Kazakhstan are in 4th place. Our neighbors have a total of 18 medals — 7 gold, 4 silver, and 7 bronze.
