Requirements for medical and pharmaceutical activities will be tightened
It is prohibited for a person who has not undergone state registration to engage in medical or pharmaceutical professional activity in the relevant specialty.

**Requirements for medical and pharmaceutical activities to be strengthened**
Starting from January 1, 2030, only state-registered individuals will be allowed to engage in medical and pharmaceutical activities.
By Government Resolution No. 577 (19.10.2026), the Regulation on the procedure for state registration of medical and pharmaceutical workers was approved.
According to the resolution, starting from January 1, 2030, the right to engage in medical and pharmaceutical activities will be granted for a period of 5 years only to individuals who are state-registered in a specific specialty. An individual who has not passed state registration is prohibited from carrying out medical or pharmaceutical professional activities in the relevant specialty.
The authorized body is the Center for Assessing the Qualifications of Medical and Pharmaceutical Workers.
From July 1, 2027, to January 1, 2030, workers will be state-registered in their specialty on a voluntary basis based on the results of special examinations or automatically during the process of awarding qualification categories.
Workers with at least 20 years of work experience in their specialty and an academic degree will be state-registered without a special examination (with the exception of workers who have not engaged in continuous professional activity in their specialty for 3 years or more prior to the date of application).
Applications are submitted through the Public Services Center, the Single Interactive Public Services Portal, or the Medical Qualification Platform. Electronic applications can be submitted 24 hours a day, every day, regardless of weekends and holidays.
The authorized body considers the application within 5 working days and makes a decision on whether to admit or deny the applicant to the special examination.
The certificate is issued in electronic form and verified through the Unified Electronic Registry of Medical and Pharmaceutical Specialists. Its original or duplicate in paper form will not be issued.
State-registered workers undergo re-state registration every 5 years to continue their professional activity.
The resolution comes into force 3 months after the date of its official publication.
