A new state registry will be introduced for the activities of medical professionals
On September 10, 2026, the Presidential Decree "On the introduction of a system for state registration of medical and pharmaceutical workers" was adopted.
According to this decree, starting from July 1, 2027, a system of engaging in professional activity through the state registration of medical and pharmaceutical workers will be gradually established.
State registration will apply to specialties included in the nomenclature of specialties in which medical and pharmaceutical activities are carried out.
The list of specialties to be registered with or without a special examination based on the nomenclature of specialties will be approved by the Ministry of Health.
In this process, specialties will be categorized based on the level of medical impact of medical and pharmaceutical workers on the patient.
Additionally, a Unified Electronic Registry of Medical and Pharmaceutical Specialists will be maintained, which will allow for state registration, monitoring of professional activity, and free access to information.
According to the decree, until 2030, medical and pharmaceutical workers may undergo state registration in their specialty on a voluntary basis.
For this purpose, they will be registered automatically based on the results of a special examination or during the process of awarding qualification categories.
The state registration will be valid for a period of 5 years. The new system will be introduced gradually starting from July 1, 2027.
