Protection of children from violence in educational organizations is being strengthened
Law No. ZRU-1174 of September 11, 2026, has introduced amendments and additions to certain legislative acts aimed at improving the social protection of children.
In particular, according to the additions made to the Code of Administrative Responsibility:
– the commission of physical violence in the process of upbringing and education, as well as bullying, expressed in actions such as humiliation or insult (in the absence of signs of a crime and other established offenses), by a person entrusted with the duties of upbringing and educating minor children in an educational organization, entails a fine in the amount of 1 to 5 BRV (Base Calculating Value).
Furthermore, the release from alimony payments of a father or mother obliged to pay alimony for a minor child who is fully supported by a state or non-state institution is not permitted.
The Law determines that the "Inson" Social Service Centers will be involved in the consideration of cases on reducing the amount of alimony to be recovered from parents or one of them in favor of a child left without parental care.
Persons brought to administrative responsibility for committing offenses related to physical and (or) mental violence against minors in the process of pedagogical activity are not allowed to engage in pedagogical activity in the following educational organizations for one year:
The document was published in the National Database of Legislative Acts in the state language and entered into force on September 12, 2026.
