Private cameras in Uzbekistan to start detecting unfastened seatbelts
The measure will take effect on November 1, 2026. At the same time, photos capturing the violation must be of sufficiently high quality to clearly distinguish the driver's face and determine whether they are wearing a seatbelt.

In Uzbekistan, private cameras will begin detecting unfastened seat belts
Starting November 1, 2026, entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan will be allowed to use automated cameras installed by them to detect violations of seat belt rules by drivers. This was reported by the Ministry of Justice.
The corresponding changes are enshrined in a government decree aimed at improving the system of automatic photo and video recording of traffic violations.
According to the new requirements, the system recording seat belt violations must automatically transmit the following data to the "Administrative Practice" module:
the number and validity period of the metrological verification certificate;
the date and time the offense was recorded;
the exact coordinates of the place where the offense was committed.
In addition, the system must be equipped with a backup power source that will ensure its operation for at least 8 hours during power outages.
At the same time, the images depicting the violation must be sufficiently clear to clearly distinguish the driver's face and determine whether they are wearing a seat belt.
