Phone imports to Uzbekistan increased by nearly 20 percent in eight months

The number of mobile phones imported into Uzbekistan increased by 527.2 thousand units, or 19.2 percent, within eight months. This was reported by the Customs Committee.

In January–August 2026, a total of 3.26 million phones worth $653.5 million were imported into the country. The average import price of one device was $200.

For comparison, in the same period of 2025, 2.73 million mobile devices were purchased from abroad for $305.7 million. At that time, the average value of each device was $111.7. This year, the import price of phones increased by $88.3 or 79 percent.

China remains the country supplying the most phones to Uzbekistan. Mobile devices are also imported from Vietnam, India, Korea, and other countries.
