Imports of electric vehicles to Uzbekistan have increased sharply
In the first half of 2026, nearly 38,000 electric vehicles worth $447.7 million were imported to Uzbekistan. The volume of imports increased by 2.6 times compared to the same period last year.
The volume of imports of electric cars into Uzbekistan has increased sharply.
According to the National Statistics Committee, a total of 37,874 electric cars were imported from abroad to Uzbekistan from January to June 2026.
The total value of these imported electric cars amounted to 447.7 million US dollars.
It is noted that this figure is 23.5 thousand units more than in the same period last year. As a result, the import of electric cars increased by 2.6 times in one year.
The vast majority of electric cars were imported from China. Over the six months, 37,560 electric cars were delivered to Uzbekistan from this country.
141 electric cars were also imported from Hong Kong, 80 from Korea, 42 from Germany and 21 from the USA. The remaining countries accounted for 30 electric cars.
Thus, in the first half of 2026, a significant increase in the volume of imports was observed in the electric car market of Uzbekistan.
