Imports of mobile phones in Uzbekistan have increased sharply

In the first half of 2026, Uzbekistan imported about 2.4 million mobile phones. This is 25.4% more than in the same period last year, and the total value of imported devices amounted to $477 million.

Imports of mobile phones in Uzbekistan have increased significantly. According to the National Statistics Committee, during the six months from January to June 2026, a total of 2 million 354 thousand 943 mobile phones were imported from abroad. The total value of these phones amounted to 477 million US dollars.

There was a significant increase in the import of mobile phones compared to the same period last year. In particular, compared to January-June 2025, the number of imported phones increased by 477 thousand 534 units, or 25.4%.

During this period, the largest number of mobile phones was supplied to Uzbekistan from China, where 1 million 812 thousand 938 phones were imported from this country. Next in line are Vietnam (462 thousand 38 units), India (39 thousand 578 units) and the Republic of Korea (28 thousand 841 units). A total of 11,548 mobile phones were imported from other countries.

Thus, in the first half of this year, China accounted for about 77 percent of all mobile phones imported to Uzbekistan.
