Pakhtakor refused to sell its defender Muhammadrasul Abdumajidov to a French club.
According to Championat.asia, the French club Brest intended to attract Pakhtakor defender Muhammadrasul Abdumajidov to its squad. However, the Tashkent club did not agree to sell the player.
According to information, the French team offered to rent the defender for a year, and then buy him outright. However, the Pakhtakor management and coaching staff were against the player's departure abroad and rejected this offer.
If this agreement had been implemented, it would have been the first historical transfer from the Uzbek championship to one of the top five European leagues.
It is worth noting that Abdumajidov is a Pakhtakor club graduate. He has been playing for the Lions' main team since 2023. The player has made 19 appearances for the club this season, providing one assist. His contract with the Tashkent club runs until the end of 2027. Transfermarkt estimates Muhammadrasul's market value at 600,000 euros.
