An Uzbekistan national team player may transfer to a French club, according to media reports.

French football club Lens is showing interest in 22-year-old Uzbek midfielder Umarali Rahmonaliev, who currently plays for Azerbaijani club Sabah. Lens scouts are closely monitoring Rahmonaliev's performance.

According to the Azerbaijani publication 90plus.media, Lens has been monitoring the player for some time. The French club is expected to submit an official transfer offer to Sabah management soon.

Rahmonaliev played a key role in Sabah's victories in the Azerbaijani championship and the Azerbaijani Cup. He was also a key player for the team in the Champions League qualifiers. The current market value of Rahmonaliev, who plays for the Uzbekistan national team, according to Transfermarkt, is €1.2 million.

Lens' interest in Uzbek footballers is linked to the successful performance of Abdukodir Khusanov. The defender previously played for Lens and currently plays for Manchester City. It was also previously reported that Lens had been monitoring the performance of 18-year-old Uzbek footballer Behruz Karimov, who subsequently transferred to Swiss side FC Lugano.
