In Tashkent, control over fare payment on buses has been tightened. Over the first 26 days of October, more than 21 thousand administrative offense reports were drawn up against passengers who did not pay the fare — this is 830 more than in the entire month of September.

This was reported by the press service of "Toshshahartransxizmat".

The number of violators has been growing for the third consecutive month. In August, 10.8 thousand reports were compiled, in September — almost 20.3 thousand, meaning the indicator grew by 87.1% over the month.

The average daily number of reports is also increasing. While about 350 were drawn up per day in August, the figure rose to 676 in September, and reached 812 in October.

In total, from the beginning of the year through October 26, 134.3 thousand passengers who failed to pay their fare were brought to administrative liability.

The company explains: the growth is associated not only with an increase in the number of violators, but also with the expansion of inspection coverage and more efficient work by inspectors.

As a reminder, inspectors can restrict the operation of validators during checks, so the fare must be paid immediately after entering the bus.
