In Tashkent, more than 14 thousand passengers who did not pay their fare on buses in September were fined

In the city of Tashkent, from September 1 to 22, administrative reports were drawn up against 14,051 passengers who did not pay their bus fares on time. This was reported by the Ministry of Transport.

It is noted that this figure is 8,494 or 153 percent higher compared to August.

During this period, more than 27.8 million passengers were transported on the capital's buses. The passenger flow increased by 3.6 million compared to the same period in 2025, and by more than 7 million or 34 percent compared to August.

Starting from September 1, 2026, a new procedure for paying fares was introduced on all city buses operating on a gross-contract basis. According to it, passengers must pay the fare as soon as they board the bus.

Earlier, it was reported that a record was set for passenger transportation on Tashkent buses.
