On the night of October 21, another change will be observed in Tashkent's air

On the night of October 21, the concentration of PM2.5 and PM10 particles in the air in Tashkent is expected to increase due to temperature inversion and weak winds. As a result, air quality is forecast to drop to an "unhealthy for sensitive groups" level during the night and early morning, and to improve again in the morning as the inversion weakens.

Changes in Tashkent's air are expected again on the night of October 21

According to the National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change, changes in Tashkent's air will be observed again on the night of October 21.

It is noted that on October 20, the air quality in Tashkent city was at the "moderate" — "unhealthy for sensitive groups" level according to the international AQI.

According to forecasts, the amount of PM2.5 and PM10 particles in the atmosphere will increase in the evening, and in the night and morning, the air quality is expected to be at the "unhealthy for sensitive groups" level according to the international index, and at the "yellow" level according to the national index.

"The drop in air temperature to around +9 degrees at night, light wind, and a strong temperature inversion will restrict air circulation. As a result, pollutants may accumulate in the layer close to the earth's surface," the committee says.

On the morning of October 21, as the inversion weakens, air quality is forecasted to gradually improve and return to the "moderate" level according to the international AQI.
