In the Andijan region, customs officers thwarted an attempt to illegally smuggle $64,000 from Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan.

The man was passing through the "Dustlik" border post via the pedestrian "green corridor." During customs control and a personal search, officers found undeclared money hidden in his socks.

In total, 64,000 dollars were discovered. The funds were temporarily seized in accordance with established procedures.
