A citizen who attempted to take $64,000 out of Uzbekistan inside their socks has been detained

At the "Do'stlik" border customs post in Andijan, $64,000 not declared in the declaration was found in the socks of a citizen who was trying to leave for Kyrgyzstan. The currency was temporarily seized, and an investigation into the case has been initiated.

At the "Do'stlik" border customs post in Andijan, 64 thousand dollars not declared in the customs declaration was found in the socks of a citizen who was trying to leave for Kyrgyzstan.

It is reported that the citizen moved through the green corridor of the "Exit on foot" direction with the aim of leaving Uzbekistan for Kyrgyzstan. They underwent customs control and a personal search.

During the inspection, it was revealed that there were foreign currency funds being carried out covertly, which were not recorded in the citizen's declaration. The 64 thousand dollars was being taken out hidden inside the citizen's socks.

The funds have been temporarily seized in accordance with the established procedure. Investigations into the case are currently underway.

Two citizens of the neighboring country were detained when they tried to cross by hiding money on their legs.
