On September 5, 1.47 million cars traveled on the roads of Tashkent

On September 5, during a single day, 1,469,948 vehicles traveled on the roads of Tashkent. According to data provided by the capital's Traffic Management Center, this figure is 32,109 cars fewer than the previous day. On September 4, 1,502,057 vehicles were recorded. This was reported by the Tashkent City Traffic Management Center.

On that day, the capital's buses made 19,778 trips on 170 routes. 1,098,438 passengers used public transport.

The Tashkent Metro also served 745,951 passengers in one day.

On September 5, the traffic congestion level on the capital's roads was between 4 and 5 points. The situation on the roads was also partially affected by utility works carried out in seven sections of the city.

In particular, works were carried out on Bogishamol, Al-Khwarizmi, Shoqirariq, P. Mahmud, and Samarqand Darvoza streets, Westminster lane, as well as at the intersection of Farhod and Lutfiy streets. For this reason, the use of some road sections and the movement of traffic flow were partially restricted.

Drivers were advised to take roadworks into account when planning trips and to choose alternative routes if necessary.

At the same time, the Traffic Safety Service continued to monitor compliance with traffic rules. Among the violations detected on September 5, eight cases of driving cars on pedestrian sidewalks, 18 violations of parking rules, and 17 violations of stopping rules were recorded.

In addition, four cases related to the violation of traffic rules in the "A" lane designated for public transport were identified.

Control measures are being carried out, among other things, to give priority to public transport, increase pedestrian safety, and ensure compliance of road users with the established rules.

Drivers are reminded of the need not to leave cars on and in front of pedestrian crossings, to yield to pedestrians at designated crossings, and not to occupy the area of bus stops. Also, motorists must comply with the requirements for driving in special "A" lanes and not obstruct the movement of buses when they are approaching and leaving stops.
