On September 19, a mass eco-action will take place in Uzbekistan for World Cleanup Day
On September 19, a mass plogging eco-action "Make Room for Life!" will be held in all regions of Uzbekistan, timed to coincide with World Cleanup Day 2026.
The event, scheduled for 11:00, is organized by the Waste Management and Circular Economy Development Agency. Residents, representatives of government bodies, media, and business are invited to participate.
The main objective of the event is to unite the public to clean the environment of waste and draw attention to a responsible attitude towards nature.
The eco-action will take place simultaneously in 14 regions of the country. In particular, in Tashkent, participants will gather on Sharshara Street in the "Yunus Rajabiy" mahalla of the Yakkasaray district. In Nukus, the cleanup will take place along the Dostlik Canal, in Samarkand on Tashkent Street, and in the Bostanlyk district of the Tashkent region in the "Chimgan" citizens' self-governing body (MSG).
Events will also be held in the Andijan, Bukhara, Jizzakh, Kashkadarya, Navoiy, Namangan, Syrdarya, Surxondarya, Fergana, and Khorezm regions.
The organizers call on residents to join the action and contribute to maintaining a clean environment.
