Road restoration begins on Glinka Street after explosion damage

On Glinka Street in the Yakkasaray district of Tashkent, large-scale work has begun to lay new asphalt on the section where an explosion of accumulated gas occurred and the roadway was destroyed.

The progress of the restoration work was personally inspected by the Deputy Khokim of the capital Obid Muminov, the Khokim of the Yakkasaray district Nilufar Allabergenova, and the head of the district Coordinating Department of Internal Affairs Alisher Murodov.

The heads of the departments assessed compliance with technological standards, the quality of the road surface used, and measures to ensure traffic safety. The responsible officials were instructed to complete the asphalt paving as quickly as possible in order to fully restore traffic flow and eliminate all inconveniences caused to residents.

As a reminder, the accident occurred on the afternoon of September 3, according to preliminary data, due to a leak from an underground gas pipeline. The gas leaked and accumulated in a heating network chamber, which led to a powerful blast and the instant rupture of the asphalt.

As a result of the incident, one person sustained minor injuries, and parked cars were also damaged. A criminal case has already been initiated regarding the incident.
