The Tashkent City Hokimiyat has provided additional information regarding the incident that occurred on Glinka Street.
According to preliminary data, gas leaking from an underground gas pipeline with a diameter of 219 mm accumulated in a heating network chamber, causing an emergency situation.
During the inspection, gas leaks were detected from several points in an area of approximately 375 square centimeters (15×25 cm) of the gas pipeline.
Currently, specialists are studying the causes of the incident and other details. At the same time, the condition of the engineering networks is being inspected, and measures are being taken to prevent the recurrence of such situations.
After the inspection is completed, road resurfacing work will continue. According to the Hokimiyat, the road is planned to be opened for traffic in the near future.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding this situation. Currently, investigative actions are underway. Based on the results of the investigation, a legal assessment will be given to the actions of the guilty parties.
The Tashkent City Hokimiyat announced that the situation is under constant control.
