Specialized nuclear classes will appear in two academic lyceums in Tashkent. Students will study physics, mathematics, and computer science in depth, as well as prepare for admission to the Tashkent branch of MEPhI.
According to the university, the project will be launched on the basis of the I. M. Gubkin Academic Lyceum at Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas and the International House-Tashkent lyceum at TIIAME. To this end, the parties signed memorandums of cooperation.
The program includes more than just additional classes. Students will be able to attend lectures and seminars by nuclear industry experts, participate in Olympiads, and scientific and educational events. In addition, career guidance meetings and preparation for admission to the specialized university will be organized for them.
Thus, students will be able to begin professional training as early as lyceum. In the future, they will be able to continue their studies in specialized areas and enter a profession in Uzbekistan's nuclear industry.
The initiative is linked to the development of nuclear energy in the country and the need for qualified personnel.
