On September 7, a solemn ceremony dedicated to the start of the first academic year was held in Tashkent on the premises of the branch of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University.
For the higher engineering education system of the Republic of Uzbekistan, this event became historic: the branch of the legendary "Baumanka" opened its doors to students for the first time.
The first enrollment was opened for three bachelor's programs: "Informatics and Computer Engineering", "Information Systems and Technologies", and "Design and Technology of Electronic Equipment".
Education will be conducted in Russian under programs that fully comply with the standards of Bauman Moscow State Technical University.
The teaching staff is comprised of leading specialists from the university, who will teach all engineering and fundamental disciplines. Upon completion of their studies, graduates will receive state-recognized diplomas of higher education: diplomas from Bauman Moscow State Technical University, which are valued worldwide.
The ceremony was attended by the Rector of Bauman Moscow State Technical University Mikhail Gordin, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kongratbay Sharipov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Uzbekistan Oleg Erkhov, the Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in the Republic of Uzbekistan Irina Staroselskaya, the university leadership, as well as teachers and students of the first enrollment.
The opening of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University branch in Tashkent is not only the beginning of the educational process, but also the foundation for long-term cooperation in the field of science and technology.
