Now in Uzbekistan, teachers can be dismissed for violence against children without additional grounds

In Uzbekistan, violence against a child by an employee of an educational institution will now be considered an independent ground for dismissal. This is enshrined in Law No. ZRU-1180 of October 14, which amended Article 161 of the Labor Code.

Previously, such cases were processed as a single gross violation of employment duties. For this, the corresponding ground had to be specified in the institution's internal rules.

At the same time, employers are still required to comply with the dismissal procedure. If violations are committed, the court may reinstate the employee to work.
